2014

The 6th annual Ivanhoe Way Challenge, a 37 mile walk around the Ivanhoe Way Footpath, took place on Saturday 21st June. Starting at 4am from Ashby, 48 walkers were in good spirits, even though they had 37 gruelling miles in front of them. It was a warm start and it soon became apparent that the temperatures later in the day were going test some of the walkers to their limits. 2013

The 5th annual Ivanhoe Way Challenge, a 37 mile walk around the Ivanhoe Way Footpath, took place on Saturday 15th June. Starting at 4am from the Royal Hotel, Ashby, 56 walkers were in good spirits, even though they had 37 gruelling miles in front of them. It quickly became apparent that some walkers were going to find the navigation hard as after walking 7 miles in 2 hours they found themselves back in Ashby. They were quickly put back on track and their sheer grit and determination .........

2012

Despite the dreadful weather the fourth annual Ivanhoe Way Challenge took place on Saturday 16th June 2012. Starting at 4am from the Royal Hotel, Ashby, 65 walkers were in good spirits expecting the worst during the forthcoming 37 miles. Starting at The Royal Hotel in Ashby De La Zouch...........

2010

Walkers, from far afield as Cheltenham, were in good spirits throughout the walk, despite the early start.  Great support was given to the walkers by marshals at checkpoints, throughout the walk.  One walker, David Flanagan said, “It hurt at times, but we were doing it for the children.................... 

2009

This is the year the Ivanhoe Way Challenge was born. A few weeks before the event we thught we would be walking the route by ourselves. However the last few weeks before the registration deadline saw an influx of applications..........
